My name is Melissa Shosey and I am your child's teacher in 1st grade. I grew up in Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in Elementary Education (emphasis in Language Arts) and Early Childhood Development. I moved to Chicago to do my student teaching at Shoesmith Elementary in Hyde Park. I substitute taught around the city and then received my job at Azuela last year.
I absolutely love living here and teaching at Azuela has been a wonderful experience. As your child has probably told you, we have a lot of fun in Room 124. I try to make learning as fun as possible but we also work very hard.
